Being a life long artist, I started looking for a new technique that would allow me to be creative for ten minutes or ten hours, and walk away. I did some research on soft pastels and decided to give them a try.

My first creation was the Foureye Butterflyfish. As with any first, there was quite a learning curve. I listened to some online tutorials by Pastel Wildlife Artist Jason Morgan and they were very helpful. I was very pleased with my finished painting and best of all, I had found the medium I was looking for... Soft Pastels.

The Atlantic Ocean, and Scuba Diving have been my passion since moving to South Florida in 1978.  It’s only natural the marine environment would be my subject of choice. I wasn’t interested in creating traditional reefscapes, and besides, I kind of been there, done that with some of my other marine art.  So for me, I thought I’d have some fun with nature and composition.

I would like to welcome all of you to my "Fish out of water" soft pastel collection.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I did creating them.

Be well my friends.
